- Psychology Education
There are two main options for students wishing to pursue training in psychology in Poland; a ‘long cycle’ (a five year long study including masters), and a split cycle (a three-years' bachelor's degree followed by a separate two-years' masters degree). Postgraduate education and additional qualifications are required in some specialities. In each case (5 or 3+2), one is required to gather minimum 300 ECTS and present a thesis in order to be awarded with a masters degree.
- Programmes that meet EuroPsy requirements:
In Poland, we started a validation project, available for all higher educational institutions offering master degree in psychology. 15 universities have joined the Project so far. On most of them, the training program was largely compatible with EuroPsy regulations. The most common exception was the lack of sufficient internships. The NAC defines for each university (and within it for each specialization) what additional conditions must be met for education to be considered compatible with EuroPsy.
When the compulsory curriculum does not coverall EuroPsy requirements, the decision to recognize the diploma (or not) is taken on the basis of an individual study card.
Confirmation of programs compliance with the EuroPsy requirements has been granted for the following universities:
